2. Location
Choosing business premises is
one of the biggest decisions you will have to
make. Although it may seem time consuming,
it can actually be incredibly simple.
An out of town Retail or Leisure Park is
probably the best place you could be, however the
rental value of these units is higher but is
balanced out by the fact that there is often good
parking availability, regular public transport
links and lots of passing trade. If your
budget doesn’t stretch to this you have plenty
of other options.
Here are our top tips:
• Look for a good concentration of
housing, where there is least
competition.
• What local facilities are
there – some of the most successful sites are
located near major supermarkets
• Check
the transport links – this will assist your
planning application
• Check your local
Economic Development Office for any new roads that
could increase traffic to your site
STEP 3. Once you've found the location you'll
also need the right building at the right size,
height, tenure and planning status to match your
ambition. Click
